Every company’s story is unique—the responsibility of designing an effective mark is huge. It’s a valuable company asset, that needs to provide a compelling vision, resonate with its audiences and remain relevant in shifting markets.

As a designer and art director I have always been interested in the process by which a brand mark is born. The serious work is the research, information gathering, cultural and market understanding as well as the conversations with the client and staff to comprehend how an entity functions, what it stands for and where it wants to go. Creating the visual mark is often the easiest part once you fully comprehend the DNA of the beast.
